When we think of climate change, our mind runs through images of cars, airplanes and oil fields. But did you know that animal agriculture is the one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions and environmental damage?
It’s a little known fact, and uncomfortable for most people to consider, but the science on the matter is incontrovertible; Animal agriculture is responsible for 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions, more than the combined emissions from all transportation.
What’s more, emissions from agriculture are projected to increase 80% by 2050, meaning that it is of critical importance that we begin to reduce the amount of meat in the modern western diet.
This Mercy For Animals video “Planet Earth” is a call to action to act now to reduce our consumption of farm animals – to save our planet, before it’s too late.
